Kalervo Kallio Atelier House

In 1958, architect Matti Hakuri completed an atelier house for sculptor Kalervo Kallio and his family in Munkkiniemi, Helsinki. Today, the building houses artist studios and two work-live apartments. Six visual artists currently work in the building.

The foundation Kalervo Kallion Ateljeetalosäätiö bought the property from the estate in 1974 using initial capital granted by the Ministry of Education. At the end of 2024, the foundation merged with the Finnish Artists’ Studio Foundation, transferring its assets and debts to the latter. This merger was a lengthy process that began in 2021.

The Studio Foundation will begin selling the Kalervo Kallio Atelier House in 2026. The property will be sold as rented.
