Hämeentie 155 is a former small-scale industrial building constructed in the 1950s in Arabianranta, Helsinki. The Studio Foundation is a tenant on two floors of the building. The facilities are owned by the EMO Foundation, and the Studio Foundation has been a tenant since 2011.
A total of 32 visual artists work in the Studio Foundation’s facilities at Hämeentie 155. The seventh, top floor of the building houses eight workspaces, the smallest of which is 21 m² while the largest one is 42 m². The seventh floor also contains a 45 m² project studio space, Artsu, which is rented for short work periods of two weeks to six months.
The fifth floor of the building is home to two graphic art associations, Arabian Taidegraafikot ry and Valligrafia ry. A total of 24 graphic artists work in their facilities: Arabian Taidegraafikot has 7 while Valligrafia has 17.
The property at Hämeentie 155 was originally called the Arabia Small-Scale Industrial Building and later the Arabia Office Building. It was built in three stages between 1955 and 1958. The initiators of the construction project included Property Counsellor Aron Livson, and the building was designed by the architecture firm Lappi-Seppälä and Martas.
