Lemuntie 6 is the oldest part of the Vallila Artist Studios complex, which also includes Kisällitalo and Pälkäneentie 18. The Studio Foundation acquired the entire Lemuntie 6 property in 1999, supported by subsidies from the Ministry of Education and the City of Helsinki and a bequest from the will of Helena and Werner Åström. In this way, more than 1,700 m² of facilities for visual artists were created in Vallila, Helsinki.
The property includes a four-storey building along Lemuntie as well as a courtyard wing and a courtyard building. They host a total of 39 workspaces, with more than 51 visual artists working in them. The building also contains warehouses for visual artists.
One of the two Åström Scholarship Studios, the Helena Åström studio, is located at Lemuntie 6. Read more about the Helena and Werner Åström Scholarship Studios (LISÄÄ LINKKI)
